Water to Thrive’s story began in a Bible study classroom nearly two decades ago. A conversation about water scarcity and food insecurity in rural Africa sparked a calling — one that grew into a mission to bring clean water, hope, and opportunity to communities long overlooked.

Since then, Water to Thrive has reached over one million people with life‑changing clean water. We focus on Sub‑Saharan Africa, where more than 50% of the world’s water need exists, and where the impact of a single well can transform entire communities forever.

Our approach is rooted in partnership and empowerment. We collaborate with local, in‑country partners who train communities in sanitation and hygiene, ensuring every project thrives long after construction. Each community forms a water committee with at least 50% women, giving women a powerful voice in leadership, maintenance decisions, and long‑term sustainability.

Our dedication to integrity and transparency has earned us the GuideStar Platinum Seal and Charity Navigator’s 4‑Star rating — honors that reflect our commitment to steward every gift wisely.
